Hotels in Provence, France
Provence is a region in southeastern France with a Mediterranean climate-summers hit around 80°F (27°C) and winters stay mild near 50°F (10°C). It's famous for endless lavender fields in the Luberon and Roman ruins like the Pont du Gard aqueduct. From June to August, you can hike the lavender trails, but for cheaper stays and fewer tourists, visit in spring when the wildflowers bloom or in fall for wine harvest festivals in the Côtes du Rhône vineyards.
